And while reading through the rest of the article I just couldn't help but nodding and agreeing with it 100%. Indeed, Web 2.0 adoption within the enterprise is not longer going to be due to that Perceive Ease of Use because in most cases knowledge workers have already been exposed to most of those social software tools in the consumer market. There is a great chance that they are already heavy users of some of those different offerings. So the key point would be, for sure, the Perceived Usefulness, that personal value, that Tony mentioned over at his weblog post, within the enterprise.

And like in everything else related to personal adoption it is a question where it would take some time for it to sink in. More than anything else because that personal value has got a great deal to do with provoking a cultural change to make it work. I mean, we have seen it with e-mail, with Instant Messaging, different generations making extensive use of different tools to meet their own personal needs. And here it comes now social software, trying to complement everything else that has been available already for some time.
